TouchKit provide RS232 touch controller to fit car application

(Taipei – April, 2005) Watching programs and entertainment in car is quickly becoming a thing of the past never thought about. The touch screens in car look similar to the ones already in use at point-of-sale inside convenience store. However, unlike the touch screens found inside convenience store, controller of touch screen system of car application needs to be designed for non-change reliability under tough work environment. Our new announced RS232 resistive touch controller possesses to endure temperature extremes of -40℃~85℃ and to withstand direct sunlight or snow, even these environment conditions keep several days.

“The most expected features of application of touch screen systems in car are extended temperature support, sensitive and accurate touch response and high performance specifications.” said Alex Chang, engineer manager of TouchKit.Inc. “Having these pioneered designs into touch controller technology of car application puts TouchKit Inc. ahead of the competition.”

Placing touch screen systems in places like car or truck isn’t as simple as installing a touch screen in the relative stability and safety of an indoor environment like a convenience store or bank. Our RS232 resistive touch controller enables users – through a simple hardware solution – touch – to limit the application – ability of checked direction from GPS system, been a entertainment device or even sent a email.

In order to provide integration design flexibility for customers, the new RS232 touch controller maintain the same form as the standard products and chipset only also available. We are proud of our ability to bring a new technology after providing a full range of touch controllers including resistive and capacitive. All of our resistive touch controllers, 4, 5, 6 and 8 wire, have the same mounted hole positions as well as both serial communication and universal serial bus (USB) interface to make customers stay in more convenient position to switch variable technologies of touch sensors.
